Meet Pastor Dytaan “DT” Carter, a dynamic faith-based empowerment leader committed to serving others through ministry and mentorship. A Detroit, Michigan native, Carter is a 41-year-old ordained pastor, motivational speaker, and Biblical teacher with a profound dedication to empowering his community.
A graduate of Oral Roberts University where he studied Theology, Carter has spent over a decade making a significant impact in both educational and correctional settings. For the past 12 years, he has been actively involved in prison ministry, teaching and training individuals while also focusing on youth development.

Carter’s mission goes beyond traditional ministry. His work includes certifying leaders and facilitating courses on trauma and personal growth, including “Thinking for a Change” classes.
“I am licensed to certify leaders in church settings, trauma, and thinking for a change classes,” Carter explains. “I am licensed to marry, baptize, and give eulogies at funerals. Throughout my lifetime, I have been able to survive. I grew up in an environment of survivors and relate to children with similar experiences.”
His background has driven his passion for working with youth, especially those from single-parent households or foster care. Carter recalls his personal experiences growing up in a single-parent home and how those memories shaped his purpose today:
“I always wanted to give back hope to the hopeless. Seeing hurt children in difficult circumstances motivated me to serve and make a difference.”

“It is imperative that I inspire others because it’s my purpose,” Pastor Carter says. “True life is living to serve your purpose. I live to give, and I am willing to die for the cause to save lives.”
